Unconscious Bias Awareness
This training provides participants with the skills and language they need to mitigate their biases and have meaningful conversations with their colleagues, supervisors, and direct reports. Additionally, participants will develop an awareness of how first impressions can lead to biased decision making and techniques to interrupt that process.
How to Engage in Dialogue around Diversity, Inclusion, Race, and Equity
We equip participants with the skills and language they need to become comfortable having uncomfortable conversations. Participants will learn how to initiate conversations around race, gender, sexual orientation as well as other hot-button topics while using language that is not offensive or awkward. Participants will also practice the ECO Model®—a series of techniques to develop social and emotional intelligence skills that apply to all conversations regarding Diversity and Inclusion.
The Inclusive Leader
An inclusive culture starts with an inclusive leader. How to Deal with Micro-Behaviors and Structural Racism in the Workplace
Many employees struggle with how to have conversations with their colleagues on sensitive topics like Race or Structural Racism. They lack DE&I skills and may unintentionally offend their colleagues by saying the wrong thing. Sometimes this can lead to fatigue by minority populations who have to constantly explain about their culture. Fear and avoidance of race conversations can also lead to micro-behaviors. Eventually this may perpetuate exclusivity in the workplace leading to misunderstandings and a lack of belonging. This training equips participants with the skills and language they need to tackle these problems. Participants will learn how to have dialogue around race and diffuse potential micro-behaviors before it starts. Participants will leave the course with an action plan to integrate these skills into their daily lives.
